Apparently, China is planning to hold a Humanoid Olympics in 2010 (June 2010 tentative).

What’s interesting here is that the robots that will be allowed to participate at the Humanoid Olympics are limited to “android robots designed in human forms, with two legs and two arms”. The reason being “the idea of the competition was to drive innovation and produce robots that are more flexible and helpful.”
